MEFMI organised an in-country workshop on introduction to macroeconomic modelling and forecasting from 28 August to 8 September 2023 in Kigali, Rwanda, aligned with the Phase VI strategy's focus on modelling and forecasting.
The workshop built participants' ability to apply standard econometric techniques — from data collection and management to equation estimation, model building and forecasting — using Rwanda's macroeconomic data and EViews software for practical exercises. The skills acquired support reliable economic projections and well-informed policymaking.
